Monza is a wonderfully bred young gelding who will have a huge career ahead as either a dressage or showjumping horse.  His sire JK Mazurati is by the imported Dutch Warmblood sire Urban and out of the imported Holsteiner high studbook mare Mazurka.  Monza's dam Spidery had great talent for jumping herself and is now one of our chief broodmares.  She is a lovely big black mare by the Hanovarian sire Wesserwolf out of a Haaji mare.  Haaji has sired many leading eventers in NZ such as Chesterfield.

Monza is currently standing at 16.2hh and is a tall leggy young horse.  He has had a superior start to life with all his foundation training being done the McLean way.He has learnt to float and truck, and has had his feet trimmed etc.  He has a willing, intelligent nature that will see him excel in sport.  He has expansive, powerful paces and the conformation to succeed in dressage or jumping alike.

His under saddle training is such that he is ready to compete at Novice level with leg yields etc established.  He has never been pushed, just brought along slowly and has answered every challenge easily and with confidence.

He has a super personality and is a real smooch.  One of the best young horses we have ever dealt with.
