Amarduc was imported into New Zealand direct from Germany as a young colt. He was purchased not only on type, but also on his pedigree. He was imported as a breeding stallion prospect and stood for some time at Range View Trakehners in Canterbury. He was fully licenced with the Trakehner Verband and scored averages of nines for his conformation and movement in his licencing test.

Unfortunately Amarduc was plagued with fertility problems and only produced five live foals before the owners made the difficult decision to geld him.

Their loss however can be your gain as this brilliantly bred horse is now for sale as a competition mount. His sire Induc is famous as a Bundeschampion winner against the best four year olds Germany had to offer of his year. He now stands at stud in Denmark.

In the short time Amarduc has been with us here at Karioi Sport Horses he has impressed us day after day with his quiet, cool disposition. He is fantastic to handle, truck, shoe and clip, and stands quietly beside mares and geldings in the yards.

He is a lovely horse to ride, with a swinging back and a soft mouth. He gives you the kind of feeling you imagine in your dreams… forward, active and supple. His paces are very good, canter coming well off the floor and a great medium trot. He has good ability to sit in the hind leg and thus will find collection a breeze.

He is training movements up to medium level: shoulder-in, travers, 1D2 passes, walk-canter-walk, counter-canter etc and has started flying changes.

In short, he possesses all the necessary attributes to get to the top in dressage. And at only age six, the world is his oyster…
