“Joey” came to us in September 02 as a sale on behalf project. Jody liked him so much she went into partnership with her mother and Carolyn Jolley from Carric Thoroughbred Stud to purchase him for Jody to compete on.

He has just finished a phenomenal first season as a dressage horse and is now ready to be sold again as one of New Zealand’s best performing Novice horses. His list of successes this season are too numerous to name here, but a few highlights included:

• Reserve Novice Champion at Auckland Champs
• Novice and overall Show Champion at Waitemata Champs
• Winner of the NZ Warmblood Assn Dressage Futurity Stakes (5&6year olds)
• Third in Matthews Hanovarians Challenge Final
• Winner of Matthews Hanovarians National Leaderboard
• Won classes at both National and Horse of the Year
• Third overall Novice Horse of the Year.
• Amassed over 180 points this season, and only competed at Area Championship shows.

Joey is a kind and willing horse with paces that turn heads wherever he goes. He is sensible in all situations and is a pleasure to own. He is a second generation NZ Hanovarian and is “H” Branded with papers.

Joey is suited to a rider that enjoys competition success and wants a forward going, easy to train, uncomplicated young horse.
